What to expect in 2022

Just as we have adapted to the pandemic restrictions on outdoors activities, we hope to help others to do the same. In 2022, we’re hopeful for an exciting year ahead despite the restrictions. We believe we can help people to get outdoors and explore in a safe manner.

So get your bodies ready for what’s coming!

For our 2022 Rediscover Singapore series, the solo category will be a competitive one. Scores will be tabulated for all 6 races in the first season and the top 3 winners will be given a prize. Participants who complete all 35 checkpoints within 2 hours in 2 of our races will be able to participate in what’s coming in the later half of the year.

For those looking to kickstart your outdoor journey but are not sure where to start, our team offers outdoor skills certification in orienteering, kayaking, abseiling and rock climbing. It can also be a great bonding activity between family and friends as you get to learn something new together and support each other to gain confidence in the outdoors.

Held in June and December respectively, we have our 65 Adventure Race and Singapore Orienteering Championships (O-Championships) coming up. It’ll be a good summative event for those who have previously participated in our Rediscover Singapore series.

For the young ones, we’re planning a ActiveSG League which is a summative event for kids aged 6 to 11. Participants would have to had completed the Active SG Kids Go Orienteering program first. It is a 4-session navigation preparatory course for kids to learn basic map handling skills and to build confidence in the outdoors.

For kids to progress further, a Kids Go Orienteering 2.0 is in plan too. Keep a lookout at the same time on the Passion Wave website for more orienteering workshops for beginners and families.

Collaborating with Deaf Sports Association Singapore, members in our monthly training sessions are gearing up for the National Deaf Games 2022. Set to take place in March, their efforts would pay off as they compete against each other and test themselves. Through this, we hope to continue providing opportunities for adventure sports to be inclusive.

We hope you’re as excited as we are for what’s in plan for 2022! Check out our pages for more information and hope to see you there.
