Brief Description
This workshop equips educators with practical skills and teaching strategies to integrate orienteering into their programs. Participants will learn how to use maps and navigation activities to foster problem-solving, resilience, and teamwork in students, while exploring ways to connect outdoor learning with curriculum outcomes. The session emphasizes both hands-on experience and classroom application, enabling teachers to create engaging, meaningful, and adventurous learning opportunities.=
End Objectives
The training programme must achieve the following objectives:
- Introduce participants to orienteering as a sport.
- Assessment of individual skill proficiency related to map reading, handling and compass usage. (Basic Orienteering Certification)
- Workshop to discuss and explore methods of instruction and quantifiable outcomes in orienteering / navigation activities

Wet Weather Plan
The event will be a rain or shine activity. The training team will make on ground changes to the activity to adhere with wet weather procedures within the park.
In the event of wet weather during activity, the participants will be briefed to take shelter in the nearest location possible and try to return to gathering point (under shelter) asap.
